Overhead cranes

Single-girder crane

Single-girder crane

The ABUS single-girder bridge crane is adaptable to almost every application.

It enables efficient material-handling solutions even in low-ceiling halls, with capacities up to 16 t and spans up to 39 m. Existing spatial conditions can be optimally utilised while saving the cost of raising the hall. ABUS single-girder bridge cranes can be adapted to specific spatial and operational requirements through different installation methods. Their favourable structural dimensions allow the highest possible hook position to be achieved.

  • ABUS Single-girder crane
  • Capacity up to max: 16 t
  • Span max: 39 m

Optimal adaptation through various connection options:

  • ABUS ELV — with a standard rolled girder,
  • ABUS ELK — with a box girder,
  • ABUS ELS — with a box girder and side trolley.

When lifting height is critical, the ABUS ELS single-girder bridge crane with side trolley is the right choice. ABUS ELV uses robust HEA or HEB profile beams as crane girders, while ABUS ELK and ELS use torsionally rigid, welded box girders.

  • load display on a screen

These extensions allow the crane to be tailored to demanding industrial processes and increase its versatility.

Overhead cranes

Wall-travelling crane

Wall-travelling crane

ABUS wall-travelling bridge cranes move on their own runway, mounted to the outer wall of the building. This lets them operate independently of the main crane within individual production areas and carry out separate material transport.

  • ABUS Wall-travelling crane
  • Capacity up to max: 5 t
  • Span max: 12 m

On its own runway it can be installed in a second row and beneath other crane rows. Ideal as a local crane for multiple workstations.

Overhead cranes

Semi-portal crane

Semi-portal crane

ABUS semi-portal cranes (EHPK) are designed to efficiently cover larger working areas at relatively low investment cost.

Their load capacity reaches up to 10 tonnes and the span up to 15 metres, making them suitable for medium-level material flow. A particular feature of the system is that no floor guide rail is required, meaning the floor remains free of obstacles and movement through the hall is unimpeded. Installation is fast and simple, while the static load placed on the hall structure is low. The system can optionally be equipped with the advanced ABUControl crane control.

  • ABUS Semi-portal crane
  • Capacity up to max: 10t
  • Span max: 15m
ABUS EHPK semi-portal cranes make optimal use of hall space, as they do not obstruct forklifts or other means of transport. Depending on the version, the lower trolley beam can either run on a rail recessed into the floor or directly on the floor using special wheels, with the surface remaining flat and unobstructed. This ensures safe, uninterrupted movement of staff and materials. The crane travels along the upper runway by means of two motors, while guide rollers ensure precise tracking and reduce lateral forces. This design distributes loads evenly across the structure and reduces system wear.

Jib cranes
